"Sea to Summit” UN World Oceans Day

Details and Registration

SEGO Initiative is a non-profit organization that has been promoting the health and sustainability of our oceans for 20 years in Japan, such as through hosting UN World Oceans Day digital projections in Omotesando/Aoyama, Harajuku and Shibuya in 2023.

CCCJ CSR Committee and SEGO cordially invites you to “Sea to Summit" to celebrate both UN World Oceans Day and the anniversary of our ongoing awareness-raising and ocean literacy mission on June 7th. Featuring documentary film screenings and talk sessions with eco-heroes, and will present a new perspective on climate change and the aquatic environment.

Our eco hero guest speakers will present their personal experiences and passion for safeguarding glaciers and oceans, while a youth panel session of three young social entrepreneurs will also provide an intergenerational, educational, and immersive experience for participants.  Please join and support us as we explore the importance of preserving our marine ecosystems and how each of us can contribute to their protection and restoration.

As with all our programs, SEGO depends solely on volunteer effort, donations and corporate support, and we ask for yours with “Sea to Summit”. Please visit our information and registration page for details of how you can help.

Join us to celebrate the World's Oceans together and inspire positive change for the future of our planet.

Date: Friday, June 7
