Event Overview:
Leaders around the world recognize that one of the most powerful boosts available to advanced economies is the unlocking and full integration of female strength in the workplace. Equal and full participation of women in all levels of business brings diverse perspectives, better teamwork, and well-rounded solutions. More fundamentally, tapping the potential of women in business is simply a step toward fully leveraging the strengths of all employees regardless of gender.
The ACCJ Women in Business Committee (WIB) underwrites and emphasizes the social and economic importance of this opportunity with practical recommendations in the new, cornerstone white paper: Untapped Potential: A Collaborative Blueprint for Achieving the Japanese Government’s 2020/30 Overall Target of Women Holding 30 Percent of Management and Leadership Positions by 2020.
Join us, as we launch Untapped Potential with three keynote speakers, Yosuke Akiyoshi, Makoto Kuwahara and Yoichi Miyamoto, who have taken on the vital roles as "male champions of change" in their respective organizations. The three primary authors of Untapped Potential, Makiko Tachimori (Fukui), A. Barry Hirschfeld, Jr., and Corinne Johnson, will introduce the speakers and the white paper itself. This event is open to the press. Please note that interpretation will be provided as this event will be held in English and Japanese.
Participants who are not members of the ACCJ are required to pay in advance. Non-ACCJ members must complete the online registration form to register for this event.
