Inter-Chamber Ski and Networking Retreat, Jan 25th, 2020 - save the date!

CCCJ is happy to annouce, together with (as of now) six other chambers of commerce in Japan, we will take part / organize a special treat for all our wintersport, snow resort and onsen loving members.
 
On the weekend of Jan. 25/26, 2020, we will get together with some one hundred members of other chambers to enjoy a fun day with a ski / snowboard race in the morning and a great networking and award party in the evening. 
 
Venue this year: the greatly modernized wintersport resort Ishiuchi-Maruyama, Niigata, conveniently located close to the Echigo-Yusawa shinkansen station. The race in the morning is a fun and easy giant slalom course, ready for children of any age, snow boarders and those who haven't skied or snowboarded for quite some time. 
 
The lead organizer, the Austrian Business Council, has organized this event for the last four years, the fun and family friendly aspect is the focus for this event. In past years we had roughly half Japanese, half foreign participants - many of either group with families and friends.
Local dignitaries, e.g. the mayors of the adjacent two towns etc. will be invited for the networking event. The event itself is casual, no formal or business attire required. 
 
Also, no worries if you, your partner, friends etc. are not so much into skiing or snow boarding. The area boasts one of the most active onsen scenes around Niigata - there are even tours to experience e.g. five different onsen a day!
 
Accommodation can be arranged freely by participants themselves, fitting their needs as families, groups of friends or single participants.
 
Note: the evening networking party will take place in the New Ohtani NASPA. There will also be a morning and evening shuttle bus from the hotel to the ski area and back. 
 
For early birds who decide until Aug. 28th, we can reserve rooms for JPY 25,000 per night incl. breakfast. Write us an email, if you have decided to participate already. From Sept. 1st, the rooms at NASPA are open for anyone to book and weekends usually sell out quickly.
