[ONLINE] Career Kickstart 2.0: Re-thinking your job future
Do you want to explore your job opportunities in Japan and/or Canada? Do you want career mentoring? Do you want to build your job network? If you answered "yes" to any of the above questions, join us for a 3-part online series aimed to support early-career professionals, university students, and anyone interested in re-thinking their job or career.
This first session will:
- identify cultural and linguistic barriers at work
- explore non-traditional work/workplace
- introduce Canadian job-related resources
The facilitators are members of the CCCJ Education Committee:
- Riyo Whitney, who is an Education Specialist who has recently started a business in Japan after working for over 40 years in Education, most recently as a Principal, in Canada, the U.S. and Japan.
- Mariko Fumita, is a representative for Manulife Insurance, a Fortune 500 company headquartered in Canada. She is a parent of a bicultural and bilingual adult daughter who inspired her with the topic of cross-cultural challenges in the workplace.
