Event Report: The Third Annual Investment Seminar

The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Japan hosted its third annual Investment Seminar on Dec 10th, 2021 from 10:00 JST virtually on Zoom. We welcomed again Mr. Arjun Kumar and Ms. Tasleem Jamal from Sprucegrove Investment Management, based in Toronto.

Sprucegrove has been a CCCJ member since 2020, and they are steadily increasing their AUM (Assets Under Management). Sprucegrove manages roughly US$30 billion in stocks around the world including Japan.

The North American investment industry has experienced a pandemic peak over the past year. New investment strategies to deal with infections have emerged, as well as an overall increase in social and investor interests in ESG. 

The seminar was an informative one for those who consider global equity investment and Sprucegrove’s presentation was full of valuable insights.
