H.E. Jonathan Fried, Ambassador of Canada to Japan will become Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the World Trade Organization in Geneva. Ambassador Fried has served as Head of Mission at the Embassy of Canada to Japan since 2008.

H.E. Mackenzie Clugston, Ambassador of Canada to Indonesia and Timor Leste and Permanent Representative to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations will become Ambassador of Canada to Japan.

It is expected that this change in head of mission will take place early in November.
The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Japan would like to express our gratitude to Ambassador Fried for his efforts as Ambassador of Canada to Japan and wish him well in his upcoming distinguished post in Geneva.
The CCCJ would also like to express our heartfelt welcome to Ambassador Clugston on his appointment as Ambassador of Canada to Japan. We look forward to building on the already strong Embassy-Chamber relationship, all in effort to strengthen the ties between Canada and Japan.
