CCCJ welcomes Ambassador Clugston to 2013 Shinnenkai
On Monday, January 21st at the Roppongi Hills Club in Tokyo, over 70 CCCJ Members and their guests gathered to welcome Canada's newly minted Ambassador to Japan, Mackenzie Clugston, celebrating the commencement of another exciting year ahead with the Canada-Japan business community.
Wilf Wakely, President of the CCCJ recapped 2012's successes at the Chamber highlighting the surge in membership to an all-time CCCJ high, the re-establishment of an active group of Committees and the successes of the CCCJ's advocacy efforts in moving towards the Canada-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement. Wakely reminded all of the importance of an active membership, encouraging Members to increase participation in Chamber activities to keep our momentum up.
Ambassador Clugston followed with introductory remarks touching on his experience in serving the Canada-Japan community and the importance of the CCCJ to it. The Ambassador applauded the Chamber for its growth and efforts, encouraging Members to keep the energy up moving forward.
