Joint Chamber Cocktail 2014

On the 19th of June, the CCCJ and our partner Chambers welcomed 340 guests to another sellout summer cocktail.  The food was delicious, drinks were cold and business cards were flying at this high-powered international business-networking event.

The CCCJ sends thanks to the CCCJ Events Committee for their great work in putting on this major event, Ben Galloway of Gotemba Kogen Beer for providing beer samples, Rie Takeda of Chazen for sharing her tea expertise, and also to our mariachi performers Juan Cadillo, Tania Cadillo, Alejandro Palacios who provided an excellent ambiance to network in.

Special thanks goes to the Grand Hyatt Tokyo and the Tokyo American Club for generously providing prizes for the evening's door prize. The Grand Hyatt Tokyo contributed a dinner certificate for two (20,000-yen value) and the Tokyo American Club contributed a one-month-membership to their facilittes.

A 50/50 cash draw was also done for the CCCJ CSR fund, where 50% of the funds collected go to the CSR fund and 50% goes to the winner. The evening’s winner, Marc Bolduc, very generously gave his winnings to the CSR fund. A total of 101,000 Yen went to the CCCJ CSR fund.

The CSR fund is one of the CCCJ’s newest initiatives to give back to the community, and contribute to the future of Japan. In March, the CSR fund helped support the successful Tohoku Internship program, which brought 14 high school students from Rikuzentakata for a weeklong internship and homestay.
